1. Lecco (start)
Lungolario Isonzo, by the lake shore next to the War memorial. Athletes will walk on city streets before hitting the trail. Choose your own way to get 800 m above the start to D001 Decollo Cornizzolo
2. Monte Cornizzolo (take off)
Official Club Scurbatt’s main take off. The take off is easily spotted from anywhere in town.
3. Macugnaga Monte Rosa
The westernmost point of the race lies near the town of Macugnaga, the renowned ski resort at the foot of Monte Rosa. Stunning views of the Monte Rosa range as well as many other 4000+ peaks.
200 km separate TP2 from TP3 Bormio, the easternmost point of the race.
With TP2 in the bag, pilots will have more than one way to get to Valtellina. Pilots will follow in awe the entire valley length soaring above 3000+ peaks before getting to Bormio. Bormio, well known ski resort, lies at the very end of the valley.
5. Passo della Presolana
The last turnpoint of the race faces the Pizzo della Presolana, one of the most magnificent and climbed peak of the Orobie Alps. Strong valley wind will make progress difficult just before TP4. Definitely one of the hardest section of the race.
6. Suello (goal)
The landing field lies in between Lake Annone and Lake Pusiano. The last 60 km from TP 4 onward see the rocky landscape give way to the pre alps.
It’s not going to be a joke to hike and fly the 450 Km in just one week!
